Sthree Shakthi ! Rashtra Shakthi

Samanwaya Samridi, formed as a woman Self Help Group, came into existence in January 2020 in Kalyan East with an aim to organise less privileged women and enlighten them about prospects of entrepreneurship. Subsequently, the group organised regular meetings of women, who used to come prepared for presenting their plans and possibilities ahead by deploying their skill.

Incidentally, when Covid19 lockdown has challenged earning prospects of many families, the plan has gained momentum and better relevance. Finding a new earning source has become an immediate compulsion for many women to support their family. Finally, on 17th August, 2020 (1st day of the Malayalam month of Chingam), after many meetings Samanwaya Samridi started a unit for making various food items through pooling varied talents of women within the group. To begin with, the group finalised some ethnic category taste supplements and traditional Kerala items like banana chips, keeping in mind a broader future plan to make as many other items as each one can, according to each one’s talent. Our mission is to empower women through making them use their talent in making items of ethnic taste prepared organically in a traditional way. No item prepared by the team will have synthetic substitute, preservative or artificial taste enhancer.
